Geocache Description:

This cache was created after *I Got The Baby* from the "Who Got The Baby?" Cache by RBDupuy in New Orleans. It is a small cache, so I call it mtn-man's Micro Cache #2. Please bring small items.

I went to New Orleans on business and worked hard to get done so I could go find some caches. I went to find one that really peaked my interest. It was the "Who got the baby?" Cache. It was a fun find. It is based on the King Cake that is a tradition in New Orleans. Part of the requirements of the cache were to create a new cache if the cacher took one of the babies. I got the baby, and here is my cache.
PLEASE do not take the baby out of the cache!

The original New Orleans cache is in a nice park with an easy walk. My cache, as you would expect, is not an easy walk. It is in a nice park, and you can park fairly close to the cache just like the original New Orleans cache. When you look at where the needle tells you to go you will not be happy. On top of everything else, the GPS reception in the area is terrible. Yeah, I know, all the makings of a fun cache, huh!

Some background on the King Cake from RBDubuy's cache page:

In Louisiana, during Mardi Gras, they have a traditional dessert that is eaten during that time of the year. It is called the King Cake. The King Cake is a yeast-bread type pastry that is iced and sprinkled with sugar although recently they have been filled with fruit toppings or cream cheese, etc. The present king cake contains a small plastic baby, although tradition has it that it began as also being a pea or a coin, or other similar object. History tells us that the person who received the piece of king cake with the item in it was required to make some sort of contribution to a worthwhile cause. Today, the person who “gets the baby” is usually only required to buy the next king cake.
