This simple cache has been placed along the Three Rivers Heritage Rail-Trail to honor a legend. This is a good spot to sit and enjoy a river view. A nice bike ride or a long walk. Your choice.
Do you know what today is? Well I'll tell you that today, Friday May 17th, 2013, has been declared by the Allegheny County Council, to be Bruno Sammartino Day. Bruno Sammartino. The greatest professional wrestler that ever lived. That's right. I said the greatest. EVER.
I have many memories of watching Bruno wrestle, both on television and at the live performances of Studio Wrestling which were broadcast here in Pittsburgh from the Channel 11 studios. Bruno was the man. Always fought hard. Always fought clean.
