This is the 1st in a series of Extreme caches I hid. Each of them have an Extreme aspect. If you can find them all, there is an Extreme Series Challenge Cache FINAL which you can only claim once you find all the Extreme series. The extreme part of this one is the fact that its Extremely out of the way.
Most easy to get here via buckhorn summit on 299, south on the county line road and follow it almost 10 miles to this cache. You can do it in just a standard car with good clearance. Very fun road with some amazing views. You will pass a great back trail to Shasta Bally, and if you continue past the cache you can end up at Bully Choop; the mountain, cache and legend. Welcome to the beautiful backcountry of Jefferson state!
update May 2024 - The Carr Fire Apparently burned the cache back in Aug 2018, but Jhhwild and 007 and the PI saved the cache by providing a replacement. Thanks for keeping this one alive!
