If you choose to accept this mission, you will be seeking a Hybrid Letterbox that will take you from beginning to end and back again! Grab a bottle of water, your best hiking shoes and keep your eyes open for what you seek!
Welcome to the Big Woods! This cache is designed to take you from beginning to the end of one of the trails in this area - and even a little beyond! From the parking area, head to the posted coordinates for the start of the trail. Remain on the main trail until you reach the sign this cache is name for - End of Trail. From there, take another 60 steps (62-64 if your stride is smaller than mine) along the path to the 'real' end of the trail. The wooden barrier should 'set you free' as to where to head next. How do you get there? I'm sure folks will chose a variety of ways. Please choose wisely and respect the surroundings. There are paths that will bring you close if you aren't a 'straight-liner.' I haven't specifically mapped the distance for the round trip but know it will take you over a mile. IMHO, the Woods are worth the visit! Good luck and enjoy the area! Please leave the stamp in place. It seemed an appropriate choice for a hybrid cache. Hope it gives you a smile! ***Update*** The ‘end of the trail’ has changed over time. When you reach the sign, follow the ridge down as if you were leaving the area. The original path was still visible when I was last there. A new route takes you more than the 60 steps it took before. Remember, the wooden fence will help you resume your journey.
