Geocache Description:

signals

  photo Rush-Signals1982.jpg

To honor my favorite band (RUSH) getting inducted the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, class of 2013, I have decided to do a series of caches dedicated to the band by highlighting some of their awesome studio albums with caches. This will be just a series of caches, they will not be linked in any way (other than being related to RUSH). There will not be any secret codes that will help you find a bonus. Just a simple group of caches that highlight this awesome band with the cache being somehow connected to the album in some way by album, song title or song theme to the physical location of the cache or in some cases the cache container or all of the above. Some knowledge of the specific album MAY be helpful in finding these caches but certainly not needed if you are a good cacher have have a "geo sense".

ThE aLBUM

Signals was Rush's 9th album that came out in 1982. This album was between their live "Exit...Stage Left" album and their next release "Grace Under Pressure". The 80's was Rush's "keyboard years" were Geddy Lee gets heavier into playing keyboards and sequencers than bass playing. This album made it #10 on the Billboard 200 with some big help from the hit song "New World Man" which got quite a bit of air play, back in the day. This album takes me way back to my junior year at Mt. Carmel High School in San Diego. It was on their tour for this album that I saw Rush for the first time. My favorite track has to be, "Subdivisions".

"Subdivisions, in the high school halls. In the shopping malls. Conform or be cast out. Subdivisions, in the basement bars, in the backs of cars be cool or be cast out. Any escape might help to smooth the unattractive truth but the suburbs have no charms to soothe the restless dreams of youth...."

ThE Cache

This one is not a tough one to find. Be mindful of the muggles which depending upon the day could be challenging. This would not be a bad night time cache. Replace where you found. And remember, wag more and bark less!
