This is my first Wherigo cache. As such, it is fairly simple. Also, at this writing, it appears that the next closest Wherigo cache is 7.5 miles away and so I'm hoping to keep the experience easy and successful for potential hunters trying Wherigo for the first time.
To find the cache, you must have a Wherigo player. Some GPS units have Wherigo built into them. Wherigo apps are also available for iOS and Android devices (e.g., smartphones or tablets with GPS). Please see www.wherigo.com for more information.
Please note that the entire tour up to the cache takes place on paved paths and pavement. Tree cover may interfere with GPS. If your player's arrow indicates going off the path, then please try staying on the path and heading in the arrow's general direction.
The Wherigo tour does not go through the main part of the park, so you should take the time to visit the whole garden if you've never been here. Note that the park is closed after dark.
The cartridge associated with this cache is available here: Berkeley Rose Garden Wherigo Geocache.
The cartridge will lead you to a location that contains a physical item you must be able to see to answer a question. When you answer the question correctly, you will then be shown to the location containing the cache along with a guide on how to find it.
Special thanks to the developers of Wherigo cartridge builders. I learned Wherigo by studying tutorials and samples from wherigo.com and Earwigo. The first prototypes of this cartridge were developed using Wherigo\\kit, which is a very nice starter tool. As I learned more about cartridge refinement, I moved to Earwigo, from which the current cartridge version is built.
