Geocache Description:

Havre De Grace History
Lafayette Trail Stop 1

The Lafayette Trail is a 57 stop, 3+ mile trail through historic downtown Havre de Grace, following a blue painted line. The trail can be walked, biked or drove. Each stop is marked by a blue disk in the ground.

Stop 1 will take you to the old Lockhouse at the Steppingstone museum. Parking is available on site. Once at the lockhouse you will need to make note of two dates.

Once you have the final numbers you will need to walk towards the playground. Once there take the double blazed bridge to the old railroad bed. Once there you can either take the old railroad track to an unmarked trail or continune to your right and take the white trail along the water. Both walks are well worth the time. You are lookiing for a small lock and lock container clearly marked as a geocache. Pencil and log book inside.
