Soldiers, Sailors, and Marines Memorial Traditional Cache

TheYoders2012: Well, after some research, we discovered that the cannon in question is very much still in use!! The town typically removes it for parades and other activities - In addition, this winter they spruced it up with a fresh coat of paint!! This explains why it felt like we've been playing a demented game of "hide and seek" with it!! That being said, we have decided to archive this particular cache, and replace it with two caches at opposite ends of this little cemetery.

Geocache Description:

You are looking for a "nano" cache, somewhere within and/or around the Soldiers, Sailors, and Marines Memorial of 1861, in the East Randolph Cemetery.

While on our way to the 2013 ASP Geobash, we came across this peaceful little cemetery, and realized that it was in need of a cache!! While in our search for the cache's GZ we came across this beautiful Memorial to those who served in 1861.... and decided it was just the spot we were looking for!!

As with all Cemetery hides, please be respectful of the surrounding area and grave-markers. The cache is a safe distance from any grave-markers, but is part of a War Memorial, so please be respectful of the local greenery. In addition, please no night-caching.
