I have always loved everything to do with playing ball! As a kid, I grew up I loving the Montreal Expos, and I remember getting letters from Rusty Staub because I was a member of the Expos Fan Club. Today I am a die-hard Blue Jays fan! I would LOVE to see another World Series Championship for the Jays! Maybe this is the year!
Growing up in the Eastern Townships in Quebec, almost all of my cousins were boys, and if I wanted to play ball with them I had to play like them . . . that included skinned knees and lots of bruises.
I still smile when I hear stories about my dad hitting a ball over the roof of the barn from the front yard when he lived out in the country. I LOVE the fact that I became good at something my dad enjoyed.
After playing ladies fastball for over 20 years, and coaching numerous teams both elementary and high school I am thrilled to be able to go to the ball park to watch MY kids play!
Today I came to the ball park to watch my son play for his high school team, and as I walked to his diamond I decided to place a geocache. Here's to you buddy! Thanks for making me proud!
