Geocache Description:

This event will take place on Tuesday June 11 and will be located at a private childrens summer camp that I manage and maintain on Scovill Resevoir in Wolcott, CT. There is a swing set, basketball court, volleyball court, picnic tables, gas grill, bathrooms, hiking trails and a beach.

This is a great family location, bring your children. Swimming is allowed at your own risk, there will be no lifeguard on duty, you must watch your children very closely. Dogs are also welcome as long as they are on leash and you clean up after them. This event will be held outside although if it rains there is a shelter that we can move the event into. Paddle boats and electric motors are welcome and can be launched from the beach at the camp, so bring your boats! There are 2 paddling multi caches on this lake and several other caches that can be reached by hiking or boat. I'll be opening the camp at 130pm, so come by early and enjoy the resevoir. I will keep the camp open until 9pm, so if you can't come during the day feel free to arrive at the normal event time of 630pm or so. There will be a camp fire in the evening. Bring your own food and beverages. I will have a gas grill avaialble if anyone wants to bring food to cook. Bring bug spray we will be waterfront. Great fishing here bring your poles! Feel free to message me with any questions.

The Central CT Cacher's Nite Out is an evening gathering for caching enthusiasts, generally on the second Tuesday of every month held in varying locations each month. Mark your calendars now! Everyone is welcome to attend...you don't have to reside in CT, and you certainly don't have to be an experienced cacher… new folks are most welcome! Let us know if this is your first event as we'd like to get acquainted. This event features new or rotating hosts every month.

If you have an interest in hosting, please contact Katydid & Miles Stone. As host, you'll select a location; get the coordinates; and copy and paste the event page and resubmit. There are a numbers of places in the area to enjoy good food and drinks. Locations should be kid friendly, have no admission fee and be within the Central Connecticut/Greater Hartford area. Cachers from outside of the area are also encouraged to host, but we do ask that the event itself be held in the Central Connecticut area.
