Geocache Description:

Another lonely school site in the Riverina.....

Hovell School operated here up to the 1930s. The only historical note I've found is a reference to the residence being moved to Burrumbuttock in 1939. Now the only signs are the old fences and lines of trees....
The personal relevance to me is that my Mum (now aged 100) attended here in the 1920s with her 2 brothers and sister - they rode to school by horse and cart from Stony Park farm to the East.

The cache is a small container with log and pencil only.
