Geocache Description:

This is located at the "new" bridge that was replaced after Hurricane Katrina. The bridge this replaced was a rickety old cable suspension bridge and remnants are nearby. Container is big enough for a log sheet and small TB's. BYOP

There are 2 parts to this hiking trail, Hwy 49 <6 miles> Airey Tower Lake/Campground <7 miles> POW Camp. The number at the beginning of the cache name is the mileage from the Hwy 49 Trailhead.

I live near the Hwy 49 trailhead. If you would like to hike either or both parts of the trail (one-way only), I would be glad to help you shuffle your car to the other end of the trail, if my schedule permits. Send me a private message and we'll see what we can work out.

On this Tux Trail series, the number at the first of the name is the distance (in miles) starting from the Hwy 49 trailhead. The terrain rating does not factor in the distance you must hike. It is the actual terrain at the cache location.

$2 bill for FTF!!

GEOCACHING LOG ETIQUETTE – This should be common courtesy in ALL your logs, not just on this cache.

Just as how much "YOU" enjoy finding a cache, "WE" the hiders enjoy just as much reading how a cacher’s adventure went in finding a cache. Something more than a “TFTC” log is very much appreciated.

If you have put in a full-faith search and come up empty handed, there is no shame in a DNF log. Likewise, there is also no shame in using the Phone a Friend (PaF) or Cache Owner (CO) lifeline. If you do use this, please be polite and give them credit in your log for helping you.

Thank You!

FTF Congrats to: Booda!
