Hudson Traditional Cache

The cache is located in the Assiniboine Park Zoo. There is a nominal entrance fee. Placing trackables is not recommended in this high muggle area. Zoo hours change with the seasons. Summer hours: Open daily from 9:00 a.m. and gates close at 5:30 p.m. This cache will only be available until closing on Sunday, September 07, 2014.

Hudson is a polar bear. He has white fur, black skin and a black nose. Hudson was born at the Toronto Zoo. His birthday is on October 11, 2011. Hudson was removed from his mom at birth so that he wouldn't be hurt. Hudson's mom's name is Aurora, and his dad's name is Inukshuk. Aurora gave birth to three cubs. Sadly, Hudson's two other siblings died. Now, Hudson lives at the Assiniboine Park Zoo in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He is a carnivore and eats jumbo smelt and herring and carrots at the zoo. His keepers also feed him vitamins and minerals. Hudson also likes to eat "popsicles" with fish or vegetables in them. He likes to play in the snow and mud. In January 2013, Hudson weighed 410 pounds (186kg). When he is full grown, he can weigh up to 1200 pounds (544 kg). That's really big!
