In 2013, 6wiggies and I will have been married for 15 years. 6wiggies suggested hiding a series of 15 caches in places significant to our relationship, and I thought that was a great idea. This is the eighth hide of the series.
Back in the 1980s, my aunt and uncle bought a house on Greenbriar, a neighborhood street near the cache location. They lived here for several years, but then moved to New Orleans so that my uncle could attend seminary. They kept the house, however, letting another aunt and uncle of mine live there for a few years in exchange for making the house payment. I spent several nights in the house with both sets of relatives as a teen and a college student, and I lived there in the summer of 1996 in a den that was converted into a bedroom.
When my aunt and uncle bought their own house, my brother, sister and I shared the house for about a year while we were all in college, paying part of my aunt and uncle's house payment while they paid the rest. My girlfriend, 6wiggies, spent many evenings over at the house at 23 Greenbriar with me, especially on Thursday nights, when we would buy Chinese food at Trey Yuen and watch Friends, Seinfeld, and ER. My brother moved out in October of 1997, after getting married, but my sister and I continued there until May 1998, when 6wiggies and I got married. By the time that my aunt and uncle finally sold the house, fourteen members of my family had lived there at one time or another.
Congratulations to zzbob for FTF!
