The “Dog” series of caches are named after common expressions involving the word dog, and is a tribute to person’s best-friend and the off-leash area of Peenaquim Park.
The caches are located along the north-western edge of the park along the Oldman River. Care must be taken throughout the area, keeping an eye out for holes and hidden hazards such as barbed wire, uneven footing, etc. Particular care should be exercised along the river bank.
The containers are lock ‘n locks complete with a log book and swag for the trading. There is a theme to the caches, but not the swag. Trade what you want; trade fair. Please re-hide the caches carefully, in accordance with the hints, for the benefit of the next cacher.
Parking is available at the off-leash area. To do all the caches in the series, to and from the parking lot, will require about a 3.5km hike. Enjoy!
