Located 10 miles NW of Mountainair, this community had a post office from 1890 to 1919. Founded about 10 years before Mountainair, Eastview was the central gathering spot for farmers, ranchers, hunters and homesteaders. Now it is nothing but ruins, with this cemetery containing many of these pioneers.
Getting to this area, one passes near the old ranch headquarters of the Clines family, the original owner of the world famous Clines Corners.
