Geocache Description:

Camo'd pill bottle five feet high. Be discreet when removing and replacing.

Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church was built in 1824, consecrated in 1835. Manzano, meaning apple, is located in the eastern foothills of the Manzano Mountains.  It is named after two apple orchards planted by Franciscan friars in the 17th century.  They are said to be the oldest apple orchards in North America, tradition putting them being planted before 1676.  Post office was here from 1871 into the 1900s.   According to the info on the church marquee, Manzano was founded in 1824.

Buried here are pioneers of the Manzano community.  Please respect their contributions.

We solicit volunteer efforts from cachers to place a "Spirit" cache in a cemetery of your choosing.
