Where Are My Keys!! is a series that we have on Oahu. This cache is not a part of that series. We just wanted to add our own flavor to the island.
Where Are My Keys!! I know they are around here somewhere!! OK, let's retrace my steps.
After grabbing a cache a few miles back, we kept heading down the highway. Our flight to Oahu was in another 2 hours or so and we still had so many smiley's to try to earn. I am a sucker for an amazing view. So when I seen the view from the bridge I HAD to pull a U-Turn and head over to the right spot and get a few more memories. What great pictures of two other islands I can get!
There was plenty of room to stop for a photo moment so I grabbed my purse and locked the doors. I set my purse down on the guard rail post and turned for my pictures. And that's when it happened! Someone tapped their horn and scared 3 years off my life. My arms flailed out so ungracefully that I am still in denial that it was me. In the process, my purse flew off the guard rail as if I purposely emtied it out and threw the shell of it 2 feet away. As I stare at what looks like a small cornerstore, I get mobility back into my arms. Quickly I shovel my items and half of the beach sand into my purse and forgo my picture taking moment.
Quickly, I walk back to my car. Time to hit the road... But something is missing... My KEYS!! Can you help me?
ENJOY!!
This is a great place to pull over and see the moutains in the back ground with the sea to the front. Lana'i looks close enough to touch, and 7 miles to the left is Kahoʻolawe. Kaho'olawe is the smallest of the eight main volcanic islands in the Hawaiian Islands, and it is 11 miles long.
**This is a very busy bridge but there is plenty of room to pull over to the ocean side!**
--Cache maintenance will be performed by ourselves and a local--
