Geocache Description:

The first two rooms were built in 1860, and were used as outbuildings for the parsonage of the NG church.

In 1899 the outbuildings were bought by the Honourable H.A. Roux the first missionary of Bethlehem. Construction of the rest of the house started in 1902, after the end of the AngloBoer War, by Ferdinad le Seuer from Mauritius. This was the first building, built by Le Seuer in Bethlehem.

The new building was built onto the existing outbuildings. All the interior walls were constructed by clay bricks. Construction of the mission house was completed in 1903. The building was used as a mission house between 1899 and 1940, and was declared a national monument in 1999.

The cache is a pill container, with a log sheet only. The cache is on the out side of the fence, no need to enter the premises.
