Mt Elbert Flash Mob Event Cache

Alpine Reviewer: The mountain is still there, but I'm pretty sure the Flash Mob is not. They would probably be cold by now....

Flash Mob on Mt Elbert. We’ll meet on the summit at 10:00 AM on Saturday morning, 31 August 2013. The idea is to get to the top early so that we can all be below tree line (on the way back down) by Noon. This should avoid any issues with with thunderstorms.

Mt Elbert (14433 feet) is the tallest mountain in Colorado and the second tallest in the United States (behind Mt Whitney in California). The hike is under 10 miles round trip on one of two Class 1 trails (that means it’s totally non-technical). But this is still a challenge. You have the summer to prepare. The CO has some experience doing this kind of thing.
