This series is an easy going river walk from Lanelay Park to Pontyclun and the surrounding area, which we have enjoyed for many years.
This series of caches is generally quite easy going and can be completed by cachers of all age groups, although a couple require a small amount of climbing. Simbasprideacmd have used this route for many years, but since RCT Council opened this as a walk and cycle path called “Llantrisant Community Route” we’ve had a real urge to place a series here for others to enjoy. You are looking for a magnetic nano and so you'll need a pencil or pen to sign the logbooks. You can also link this up with our Rail Trail series. To do this you will need to walk up Forest Hills Drive from River Trail #1 go through the gates at the end of the Cul-de-Sac don’t be put off by the Private Land sign as there is a Public Right of Way through near to the bridge you will need climb the bank onto the old railway line.
