Geocache Description:

Welcome to our series of freaky things. These caches are along a bike trail and should provide an afternoon of fun for the family.

Cicadas don’t bother humans under normal circumstances and do not bite or sting in a true sense, but may mistake a person's arm or other part of their body for a tree or plant limb and attempt to feed. Cicadas have a longproboscis, under their head, which they insert into plant stems in order to feed on sap. It can be painful if they attempt to pierce a person's skin with it, but it is unlikely to cause other harm. What I hate about cicadas is when there are so many of them that, apart from the deafening noise, when you walk through the trees their pee feels like rain! Any one got a brolly?

If you are riding this series please note; the first cache is 3.4km from town and there is 5km from first to last so take plenty of water with you.

You are looking for a small brown screw top container. There is a pathtag for FTF.

And now for a Joke.

A cicada and a string walk into a bar. The string says, "Hey, aren't you a locust?" The Cicada says, "NO, I'm a Cicada....aren't you a string?" The string thinks for a moment, messes up his hair, and ties himself up and replies...."No, I'm a frayed knot!"
