Summary
While up in beautiful Carpinteria for lunch, I went out to grab a few caches and more importantly, to place a few new ones up here for you to come find :)
Description
As evidenced by my recent cache placing sprees here in Carpinteria, I'm a fan of the city. It may not be Facebook official, but it's true. As such, I'm making an effort to place caches each and every time I get up here. This is the first of a few more that I placed this week.
While out in the Philadelphia, PA area visiting family a few weeks ago, we picked up the habit of heading out each and every afternoon to find a new park with a) running/walking trail for my wife, b) playground for the kidlets and c) caches :) As caches typically take on a lower priority, I made a habit of finding new parks that, from the sat maps, appeared to have all 3. With that habit in mind, we discovered quite a few new parks in the area, went on some great hikes/walks and even found quite a few caches which I typically dont do much of when out and about with the fam. Win all around.
Bringing that habit back home, I'm now on a more intentional mission to leave caches in and around parks for others to do the same. As a special bonus, this cache is also very near a great looking bridge...which I just like for some reason.
Cache is starting out packed to the gills with kid friendly swag and a TB proxy for someone to move along.
