Sulis Manoeuvre: A change of landowner has created access issues for this series, and it's time to call it a day. Most of the caches were placed on permissive paths which are no longer open to the public.

If you've already found the cache and haven't logged it yet, you are still welcome to do so.

Geocache Description:

From NottHill 7, continue on footpath and through the wooden gate, then follow the lane. This is currently the last cache in the series – some changes to the routes of footpaths have made it necessary to disable no.9 for the time being.

Nottingham Hill has been a place of human settlement at least as far back as the Bronze Age. The ramparts of an Iron Age hillfort can be seen on this side of the hill, though it's not always easy to distinguish them from quarry workings and natural slopes. The fort was built by our local Celtic tribe who were known as the Dobunni.

The cache is a small cliplock box in a camo bag with room for trackables and small swaps.

Once you've found this one, continue walking along the lane, which has lovely views of Cleeve Hill and other Cotswolds, until you reach the road. From there you can also pay a visit to the nearby Hidden Treasure 1 cache (GC3JTC8), which is really, really well worth it!

Congratulations Kiting Klive, FTF!
