Geocache Description:

Parking at the listed waypoint. This is on Game Lands so PLEASE wear your orange when needed. This is a HUGE ammo can but still bring a pen to sign the log. While parked here you can pick up many caches! We recommend you wear long pants and bug spray. Many ticks have been seen in the area.

This is our 150th cache placement. It is about a half mile in from parking. It is placed in a pretty spot that we found while exploring the game lands on our quest for purple is puzzled by red (GC2T7MC). Please stay out of the propagation area! From parking follow the road to the right. Stay on the road until you see an old trail bear to the left into the woods at the field. Stay on the trail until you get to about 178 feet from the cache.
This cache is loaded to the gills with Geocaching "ammo." There's the log sheet in a sandwich bag which you should sign. Tradeable Items are a large pretzel can camoed up sweet with a blank log sheet in a baggy. There's a peanut butter jar done up the same way. There are non-decorated cashew and pretzel jars for those of you with imagination. There are 6 35mm film cans with fresh logsheets in every one, but those logsheets might need baggies, depending on where you place them. There is also a small little plastic square container with a logsheet that we found at a local store, 8 for just $1.00. We thought they might be good for guardrails and small hides. You don't have to bring tradeables, but we thought this would be a neat way for cachers to swap containers to make for hides of their own. PLEASE do a just-as-good-as if not a better job of rehiding this large cache or it WILL NOT MAKE IT THROUGH NEXT HUNTING SEASON! This big baby was hard to hide, but we just had to try one with this container. My brother in law brought three of these back from his base. We sold one to some friends and are keeping one for possibly another future hide. This area gets hunted a lot and we were afraid of putting it here, but what the heck??? Ya gotta try, right? We saw lots of horseshoe prints on the way in and out...that's how I shoulda carried this big baby in....what a lug!
I hope you enjoy the hike and the find and the trades and the container, and especially the view of the Glade Lake from the trail. Good Luck!
