Mit der Luftseilbahn Fürgangen - Bellwald, die 1956 ihren Betrieb aufnahm, wurde Bellwald erstmals an das Tal angeschlossen. Die Strasse hinauf zum Dorf gab es damals noch nicht. Diese wurde erst 1970 erstellt. Damit auch der Weiler Bodma mit der Luftseilbahn bedient werden konnte, gab es auf ungefähr halber Fahrstrecke eine Mittelstation. Die Holzhütte, die immer noch dort steht, ist ein Zeuge aus dieser Zeit.
Cache:
Du findest hier einen etwas speziellen Cache. Leicht zu finden, aber vielleicht gelingt es dir nicht so einfach, an die Büchse zu kommen. Zum Rausholen der Büchse ist Kenntnis über den Magnetismus von Vorteil. Der Ort, wo sich die Büchse befindet, ist mit einem Geocaching Logo gekennzeichnet. Zum Bergen der Büchse brauchst du keine Kraft! Schraube nur den Deckel weg. Die Konstruktion nicht demontieren! Gefragt ist Spürsinn und Geschicklichkeit. Aber keine Angst, du wirst es schaffen!

It was only in 1956 when Bellwald was connected by an aerial ropeway to the valley. There was no road up to Bellwald at this time. The road was finally built in 1970. Before the construction of the road people who wanted to go to the hamlet Bodmen could go by the ropeway about half way up the distance to Bellwald and leave there the cabin on the intermediate station. The hut still there is a remnant of this time.
Cache:
You will find here not a usual cache. The cache itself is easy to find but you may have some difficulties to get the box. To reach the box it is of great help to have some knowledge about magnetism. The place where the box is placed in the construction is marked by a geocache logo sticker. You do not need any force to get the box. Only screw off the cover. No disassembly of the construction! You need a bit of feeling and some skilfulness.
