NOTE: THE CACHE IS NOT AT THE ABOVE COORDINATES!
There used to be another cache here, but it's been archived. I'm recycling the location.
Other people have made puzzle caches regarding their favorite activities (aside from caching), such as sports, Shakespeare and acid rock. I'm indulging myself with a cache concerning my favorite activity, orchestral music. I don't use the generic term, classical music, because Classical music properly refers to the musical period between the Baroque and Romantic Periods. I prefer the Classical Period, myself, but other people go for Baroque (get it?).
To find the correct coordinates, you will need to answer a series of musical questions. The answers should be provided in the following format: N 40 10.ABC W 075 08.DEF. An example follows. What is the number of Tchaikovsky's "Little Russian" Symphony? The answer is 2. The "Little Russian" was Tchaikovsky's Symphony Number 2.
A. What is the number of Beethoven's "Pastoral" Symphony?
B. What is the number of Schumann's "Spring" Symphony?
C. What is the number of Schubert's "Great" C major Symphony?
D. How many violin concerti were written by W.A.Mozart?
E. The number of Haydn's "Le Midi" Symphony, minus how many piano concerti were
written by Franz Liszt, plus 1.
F. How many numbered symphonies were written by Tchaikovsky?
The cache is located in Lukens Park. It contains a log, pencil, small trade items and a prize for FTF. No credit without your signature. Park in the lot. No dogs or other pets are allowed in the park. Neither is night caching. For your convenience, I have started a geotrail.
