Geocache Description:

The cache is not at the posted coordinates. Solve the puzzle to discover the true coordinates.
This area is home to critters, most notably ticks in the grass areas and mosquitoes, lots and lots of mosquitoes in the warm wet months. You will NEED to use repellent here in late spring, summer and early fall. Even during the day, there is enough shade that the mosquitoes are active.
Wright Moore Gudder Institute Book Swamp

yoyoteacherThis cache is yoyoteacher's fault.

The Wright Moore Gudder Institute is proud to present this free library book exchange in a swamp.

The Wright Moore Gudder Book Swamp is also a BookCrossing Book Zone.

Oak Ridge Conservation Area is about the only large timber stand left for miles around Dudley Missouri. Once this whole area was a vast forest of hardwood timber, but it has been nearly completely converted to agricultural fields.

The Mingo ditch runs through the area from north to south and the low lying land of the area, next to the Dudley Ridge, creates a natural swampy area. It gets progressively more swampy as you move from east to west, away from the Dudley Ridge.

You will find the library, a large ammo can, resting in a hollow stump and covered with sticks and leaves. Please replace the cover when you are done as the area is frequented by hunters and they do like ammo cans.
