Welcome to Boone County Battleship, an idea I shamelessly plagiarized from a similar series elsewhere. In this game, southern Boone County, Nebraska has been subdivided into a 10 x 10 grid. Your goal is to sink all six of my ships (I added an additional from the Milton Bradley version for interest’s sake). Each grid space has a geocache hidden, and in each geocache is a “HIT” (in red at the top of the logsheet) or “MISS” (in black at the top of the logsheet) notification. Ships are set up horizontally (East to West) or vertically (north to south) on the grid. You are responsible for logging your hits or misses. The final from the series uses information garnered from your game of Battleship.
The six ships that are hidden include a Carrier (5 squares), a Battleship (4 squares), a Cruiser (3 squares), a Destroyer (3 squares), a submarine (2 squares), and a PT Boat (1 square).
Please no spoilers in the logs, as this would make the game less challenging for others. Logs with spoilers will be deleted. If you get a DNF on this or any other cache in the series, please log it so we can check on it as soon as is practical. Good luck.
About this cache: I8 - A really nice view of St. Edward in the distance and the rest of the surrounding Beaver Creek Valley. If you are heading south from here to find a place to turn around, it's quite a ways down the road (as I found out).
