We are very please to be able to host this 2nd event dealing with GSAK. Please make plans to come to the Crestview Library on Saturday, August 24th, from 10:30 until 2 pm. fljhawk has again graciously agreed to be the speaker/presenter/teacher for this program. A computer presentation will take place from 10:30 ~ 12, bring your lunch (or go grab something nearby) as we will take a break to each lunch and then Q & A will follow.
GSAK for Dummies II
(And Geocachers!)
This presentation will be a follow up to the GSAK for Dummies class held in April. Our goal is to delve deeper into several features of the software that we were unable to fully cover in the first class. While it would be helpful to have attended the first class anyone with a basic understanding of GSAKshould benefit from the class.
The class will cover four main topics:
- Using GSAK for publishing your logs on geocaching
- Creating a bookmark list using GSAK
- Customizing the GSAK toolbar to meet your needs
- Understanding and using GSAK Macros
Finally we will leave plenty of time for Q & A and user participation.
If you use the GSAK software come prepared to help me answer questions.
There are hundreds of macros written by talented individuals available for our use and if you have one you would like to discuss post a note here. If you have written a macro for GSAK please plan to share it with class.
Bring your laptop computers, WiFi is available at the library. Just a reminder that GSAK is a windows based program.
If you have any questions you'd like to present ahead of time please send them to us and we will forward to fljhawk.
