Sydväxtbergets branter lagrar solvärmen och ger upphov till ett gynnsamt lokalklimat vid brantens fot, särskilt under vår och höst. Det kan man tydligt se exempel på i Lunden under Våckelbergets mäktiga stup. Här finns arter som vanligtvis hör hemma mer söderut, t ex lind och hassel.
Lunden ligger ca 150 m bortanför cachen. På vägen dit kommer du att passera några ställen där det är tydligt att stora stenblock och trädstockar fallit ner ovanifrån. En av de stora lindarna i själva Lunden har fått skador efter att något stort stött emot trädet och därefter krossat hela trappan som går upp dit. DET KAN ALLTSÅ VARA FÖRENAT MED LIVSFARA ATT BEGE SIG DIT!

The heat of the sun is stored in the cliff, giving a special local climate at the bottom of the ledge, especially at spring and autumn. Here you can find species that you normally only find southwards.
If you continue the trail beyond the cache, you will pass some places where it is obvious that large boulders and trees have fallen down from above. Many of the trees bear signs of something big crashing into them, and one of the stairs is completely crushed. IT MAY BE HIGHLY DANGEROUS TO GO THERE!
