Geocache Description:

Hidden in an ironwood tree on the Medford Canoe Trail. Stay in your boat for this one.

I am Ironwood!

Has he lost his bark?
Can he see or is it dark?
Can he move at all
Or if the wind blows will he fall?

The Medford Canoe Trail runs 2 miles along the Rancocas Creek. It begins in Medford Park and ends at Kirby's Mill. During ideal conditions, the trip going north downstream takes approximately an hour. Returning south upstream against the current should take approximately 1 1/2 hours. However the current is not that strong, as there is a dam a Kirby's mill. Know your own ability and weather conditions. The creek is only a few feet deep in most places, and there are a few obstacles since it was cleared a few years ago.

At the north end, you can park at Kirby's Mill and put in at the cove just north of the bridge. At the south end parking and put in is either at the end of Gill road just north of the lake, or at the very end of Coates road.
