Geocache Description:

This cache was placed for Hike 'n Seek X in 2013. It is located in Ham Marsh. This area is open year-round from 6:30 am to 10:00 pm.

Ham Marsh consists of 54 acres that include a glacial marsh, sedge meadow, and a reconstructed prairie. The land was donated by John and Maxine Ham who owned the land for over four decades. This site offers a short trail that cuts through fields before ending at a lovely wetland. There are many opportunities for wildlife viewing here, and a bird blind is located near the wetland to enhance birding opportunities. Permission to place caches in Ham Marsh was obtained by the Buchanan County Conservation Board.
