There is a small park to the sleeve of the bridge.
It is a citizen's oasis, but a disaster prevention pier is established to be able to rescue it at the time of the disaster from the river.

東海橋は第一京浜国道が目黒川を渡る場所に架かる橋です。
最初の橋は大正15年9月に作られました。
平成9年3月に現在の橋への掛け替えが行われました。
橋の名前である東海については２つの説があります。
１つは、橋の近くにある東海寺の名前からつけたという説です。
もう一つは、東海道の名前からつけた説です。
橋のたもとには小さな公園が用意されています。
市民の憩いの場ですが、災害時には川から救援ができるように防災桟橋が設けられています。
