Geocache Description:

Guiding Light - brings you to an historical office!  No need to open the gate to find the cache! Sadly our geocache has gone missing. We are waiting a little while then we will set a new one if it does not turn up. :-(

This building is the National Office for the Irish Girl Guides. Irish Girl Guides was set up by Lady Baden Powell in 1911.  (The first company was set up in Harolds Cross in September 1911.)  The National Office was in 16, St Stephens Green from 1947 to 1974 when it was moved to this house.  Please feel free to call into the office and say 'Hello' to us if it is open.
