Island Adventure is a year round favorite place for the DAWJ163 family.
In the middle of the Chena River in Fairbanks AK. In summer float or boat to the cache. In winter ski, walk or snowmachine. IMPORTANT!! In winter approach only from the well established snowmachine trail at the upstream end of the island as there can be thin ice along the sides of the island even in the dead of winter. NEVER approach on ice from the Ft. Wainwright side as ice is always thin with a strong current.
