Geocache Description:

Located on Sears Island off Rt.1 in Searsport, ME. Approx. 1 mile walk of Bike on paved and gravel road. Slightly uphill. Short hike through woods off gravel road.

Traveling west on Rt.1 in Searsport 2 miles west ( down coast)from where Rt.1 and 1A merge, turn left by green state salt shed onto Island road. Travel to barrier to park car.

Traveling East on Rt.1, 2 miles east of Searsport village, turn right onto Ilsand Road travel to barrier and park. From above walk or bike past barrier up a long slight hill. Approx. 1/4 way up hill, turn left on gravel road. Walk or bike gravel road for approx 1 mile. Cache is off road a few hundred feet.

Cache contains several child's toys, a coliedoscope, a cross, a couple of coax fittings. It is in a plastic cylinder approx 4" in diameter, and 9" long and has a yellow cover.

This area contains many wildlife and the cache contains a log asking each to record the wildlife you see. Area has deer, partridge, turkeys, foxes, rabbits and many species of songbirds, hawks, gulls and waterfowl.
