Geocache Description:

The cache has 3 stages. The first location is in a high muggle area so stealth is required. It was also placed with the permission of Green Lake TWP The second stage is in a State Park and is a micro container not far from the trail tree. The final stage is located in the State Forest and has a container with Arrowheads and other like trade items.

You are about to go on a journey back in time to see how American Indians navigated through the woods of Northern Michigan. Shaping tree's to point the way to camps, places of spiritual importance, water, grave markers, etc. We have set a multi cache to show you 3 of these unique trail trees and hopefully this will help save them. I knew of 3 other trail tree's around the Wexford and Grand Traverse area but they fell victim to logging. The first 2 tree's are in high muggle area's so stealth is important, the last tree is in the State Forest and mosquito spray is a must. These tree's are important to our American History so lets try to protect them. Enjoy the journey and then start searching for more Indian Trail Trees.
