Predejane Traditional Cache

E: Predejane is a small town with about 1200 inhabitants in the vicinity of Leskovac.

E: Predejane is primarily known for its Motel, located right next to the E75-highway, the once infamous "Autoput". The Autoput, which means "highway" in the Serbian language, was during Tito's time the most important link between Central and South Eastern Europe and has been frequently used by Yugoslavian and Turkish guest workers.
Because of the very poor condition and the heavy traffic this road was one of the most dangerous roads in Europe until 1991. Meanwhile most of the road has been built and has changed as the so-called "Pan-European Corridor X" into a major European main traffic connection. This made it possible to get quite comfortable to Greece on the road by car. The traffic safety has improved considerably since this road has been adapted to European safety standards.
The 3-star Motel Predejane benefited greatly because it is particularly inviting to rest or spend the night there because of its convenient location. Guests benefit from continuous upgrades, secure parking, nice rooms and very good food offer.
It is also recommended to make a walk to the village Predejane where you get a nice impression of a southern Serbian town.
Unfortunately the old tree has been removed. Thanks to bravegrappa, who donated a new box (see spoiler photo).
D: Bekannt ist Predejane vor allem durch das gleichnamige Motel, das direkt neben der Fernstraße E75, dem ehemals berühmt-berüchtigten "Autoput" liegt. Der Autoput, was aus dem Serbischen übersetzt einfach "Autobahn" bedeutet, war zur Zeit Titos die wichtigste Verkehrsverbindung zwischen Mittel- und Südosteuropa und wurde häufig von jugoslawischen und türkischen Gastarbeitern genutzt.
Wegen des teilweise sehr schlechten Zustands und des hohen Verkehrsaufkommens war diese Straße bis 1991 eine der gefährlichsten Straßen Europas. Mittlerweile wurde der Großteil der Straße ausgebaut, womit sie als "Paneuropäischer Verkehrskorridor X" zu einer wichtigen europäischen Hauptverkehrsachse wurde. Damit wurde es möglich, durchaus bequem auf dem Landweg per Auto bis nach Griechenland zu gelangen. Auch die Verkehrssicherheit hat sich erheblich verbessert, da diese Straße den europäischen Sicherheitsnormen angepasst wurde.
Das 3-Stern-Motel Predejane profitiert davon sehr stark, da es durch seine günstige Lage zur Rast oder zur Übernachtung einlädt. Die Gäste profitieren durch ständige Modernisierungen, einen bewachten Parkplatz, schöne Zimmer und einem sehr guten Speiseangebot.
Empfehlenswert ist aber auch ein Spaziergang in die Ortschaft Predejane, wo man einen schönen Eindruck einer südserbischen Kleinstadt erhält.
Leider wurde der alte Baum entfernt. Vielen Dank an bravegrappa, der eine neue Dose gespendet hat (siehe Spoilerfoto).
