Investigation of the Alex G Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Shark Diver: The site is no longer viable as the plane has deteriorated and the marker has been removed. Thanks to all who braved this find and I'll hopefully find another location for a SCUBA cache in the future.

Geocache Description:

INTERCEPTED TRANSMISSION…. June 11, 1994 – Investigation of Cessna 310 named Alex G. Last contact over Aurora Reservoir in Colorado. Co-Pilot carrying package. Package retrieval unlikely as sonar identifies debris field at 30 feet with water temperatures between 55 and 65 degrees. Visibility at the site has been reported between 0 and 10 feet. Due to extreme conditions, access to the crash site is only feasible between May and October. Agents assigned to investigate should be competent with SCUBA gear, comfortable in cold temperatures, limited visibility, and overhead environments. …END TRANSMISSION
