This cache is in honor of Little Phlopper's birthday! She turned 10 on the day of this cache's publishing. It also marks the 10th cache we have made.
We Phloppers love a challenge. Two of our favorite caches have been the Blue Ribbon Challenge and the Puzzling Month Challenge. What we don't like about some challenges is that many of the old timers just fall into them due to their wealth of previous finds. Us relative newcomers grouse and grumble and have to get to work.
Perhaps this is YABDCC (Yet Another Birthday Challenge Cache), but there is a twist. In order to log your find, you must find 10 caches in a row on their birthday (see below). These do not have to be found on the same day, or consecutive days, but they must be consecutive finds. They can span as many or as few days as required to find 10 in a row. As per the challenge rules, previous finds do count, so if you've seen another challenge like this before, or else you've gotten extremely lucky with your finds, then you're welcome to log this one. You still have to find the cache and sign the log.
A cache's birthday is defined as the anniversary of its hidden date (as shown on its cache page), which is equivalent to its posted date (as shown on the Hide/Seek results page). Finding a cache on its actual publish day (i.e. FTF) is accepted in this challenge.
You can sign the cache log sheet at any time and write a note, and then log the find online once the challenge is complete.
We're hoping this challenge will revive some lonelier caches as their birthdays arrive. Good luck!
For some people in dense caching areas, this challenge will be easier than for others. It is tough to say what the rating should be. Feedback welcome.
This cache is placed down the street from Little Phlopper's Institute of Higher Learning. Parking can be difficult during school hours.
Congrats to kablooey for FTF! Why are we not surprised that he "fell into" this one?!
And even more congrats to sweetpea1953 for working hard to get the FTF the hard way!
And even more congrats to Rachell for working super hard to qualify in a single day across so much area!
