Geocache Description:

Unique container -Contains log only - bring pen.

Much like the sister to this cache, it was placed on one of the many estuaries present on or around Galveston Island. These marshy areas are where water from the sea and fresh water mix, providing essential habitat for fish, shellfish, crustaceans, birds and many other coastal critters.  As you look across the marsh from the cache location, Jones Lake can be seen in the distance - this marsh feeds Jones Lake and from there the upper end of West Galveston Bay.   Enjoy the view but be careful, this road is a bit busy at times and there could be mosquitoes and snakes about!!

There is a small nature preserve located nearby but the cache is not located in the preserve and you do not have to park there to find it.
