Hier arbeiten ca. 26.000 Mitarbeiter in der Produktion von E-, S-, CL- und CLS-Klasse und SLS AMG. Bis 2012 wurde auch der jetzt eingestellte Maybach hier gefertigt. Die gesamte Jahresproduktionzahl liegt bei ca. 425.000 Fahrzeugen. Die Werksgründung war in 1915 durch die Daimler-Motorengesellschaft beginnend mit der Herstellung von Flugmotoren und Flugzeugen. Das erste Fahrzeug lief im Jahre 1919 vom Band. Von diesem Standpunkt aus ist auch das Mercedes-Benz Technology Center (TOR 14) zu sehen, hier werden all diese begehrten Autos entwickelt.
