A Place Like Nebraska was written by Sol Kutler and declared the Nebraksa state Ballad on Oct 9th, 1997 by Gov Ben Nelson. This is cache #4 in a series of 27 honoring the state symbols of Kansas and Nebraska along State Line Road.
Unlike other states, Nebraska has passed legislation that allows the Governor to declare state symbols without going through the Legislature.
