Large camo covered container right up there in that there tree ya'll

The Sunflower is the state flower of Kansas. This is cache #5 in a series of 27 caches honoring state symbols in Kansas and Nebraska along State Line Road. 

Helianthum Annuus, also known commonly as the Sunflower, is an annual plant native to the Americas. From the Americans sunflower seeds were brought to Europe in the 16th century along with sunflower oil became a wide spread cooking ingredient. Leaves of the sunflower can be used as cattle feed. While the stems contain a fiber which can be used in paper production! Sunflowers are commerically planted 1.5 ft apart and 1 ft deep. The earliest known example in the United States of a fully domesticated sunflower have been found in Tennessee and date back to around 2300 B.C.
