Big Bear Lake Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

nonaeroterraqueous: Needed to get rid of my high-maintenance caches, and this one topped the list. It was fun to make and hopefully fun to find, but it was made of wood and glue, and neither one was holding up to the elements, despite my efforts to weather-proof it. I had to make significant repairs every couple of months and replace completely about once a year. It wouldn't have been a problem, except for a possible change in living situation in the near future, and I'm just not that interested in geocaching anymore. Thanks for the drawings, which I will laminate and hang above my desk.

Geocache Description:

In Plumas National Forest at Big Bear Lake

This cache is located 1/2 mile from the nearest trailhead, hidden very much in plain sight. No digging around in bushes or overturning rocks.

We like to think of this as the Goldilocks Trail. If you imagine that the fabled girl started at Gold Lake (named in her honor. No, really!), then she passed by the three bears, in the proper order. This cache is located at Papa Bear's favorite lake. Goldilocks decided that it was too big.
