Geocache Description:

THIS IS nikefit's VERY FIRST HIDE AND WE DID IT TO CELEBRATE OUR 100TH FIND!

Next to snorkeling (and Geocaching of course), "Tidepooling" is one of my favorite things to do. I'm excited to know that many will come and visit and have a newfound respect for these marvelous tidepools and fascinating sea creatures.
Cache is NOT in water/tidepool. Pretty please do not post pics of the hiding spot.

Please take heed of the following "Tidepool Etiquette" and pass it on. I want you and future generations to have awe inspiring, tidepool experiences! So what are you waiting for?

BE A GOOD TIDEPOOL VISITOR!

Walk carefully and watch your step - many sea creatures are delicate and you could hurt them.
Move slowly so you see more.
Look more than you touch - try not to disturb the organisms and their habitats.
If you touch, do it gently - use one gentle finger and always keep marine life in water.
Return rocks to their original positions.
Leave animals where you found them.
If you pick seaweeds, pinch don't pull.

SAFETY

Check water conditions - never turn your back to the ocean.
Wear proper footwear.
Beware of sharp, slippery, & loose rocks.
Walk slowly.
Don't put your hands in holes where you can't see.
Be careful of dangerous sea creatures.
If you don't know what something is, don't touch it!
Wear sunblock & a hat.
