The cache derives its name from the water level when you seek this cache.
We paddle these waters often and each time something different awaits us. It is for the most part a quiet, flat paddle, with wildlife ranging from deer and beavers to Pileated Woodpeckers. The ever present marsh birds and reptiles, along with the necessary bug population during the warmer months. When we placed this cache the water level was where it should be, but in spite of this you will have to exit your watercraft. You are in for a little over 3 miles of paddling depending on your selected launch point. The cache is only reachable by water.
If you launch your vessel from the State Park boat launch there may be a fee dependent on the time of day and the time of year.
Enjoy.
