Geocache Description:

NOTE: These coordinates are NOT the exact location of the cache.

We were making a routine flight to Payson, our aircraft was not climbing at an acceptable rate so we were forced to remove weight. So much to our dismay we dropped the cache from an acceptable and safe altitude and heading. The cache is a “Go Snack” container and is wrapped in duct tape with black electrical tape around it. The cache was released at 2400 feet MSL (mean sea level) at a heading of 255 degrees magnetic (magnetic deviation in this area is -12.5 degrees) with a ground speed of 177 Mph. If you find this cache please do not move it. I went out to the drop sight soon after releasing it and I found the cache in about 1 hour. After going out to the sight, I realized that it was Indian reservation. I don't think that it is illegal, but just be respectful and read the sings on the way in. I found that if you turn off the highway at 33 34.956N 111 39.742W and park at 33 35.473N 111 39.652W it will put you at about a 1.2 mile hike from the drop sight. Also, I have heard from others that you can park about .55 miles from the drop point to the east and then cross a fence .2 miles from the drop point. I have not verified this route so I do not know if you will be trespassing. The cache started off with only a few pens and pencils, a log, and the geoocaching paper, I dodn't want to put anything else in it because 1. I didn't know if it would ever be found again, 2. heavy things hitting the empennage (tail section) of an aircraft is not a good thing. Also, there might be a duct tape tab that you will remove to open the cache. -- good luck, bring water, and watch your head for falling caches!

Thanks FAR91.15

Note: I am currently serving on active duty in the air force and I no longer live in Arizona. Because I went to such extremes to place this cache and it is one of a kind, I would greatly appreciate it if some one could replace the container for me so I can keep this cache active. Thanks.
