Geocache Description:

You are looking for a small tube placed at the edge of a dis-used airfield, close to the coast path. The tube is big enough for small swag or geo-coins.

You are, I hope, about to walk on the old air-field at Dale. Like many in Pembs., the air-field was built at the start of the war for the defence of the Western approaches. Initially crewed by eastern European Squadron, it was transferred to the Fleet Air Arm and called H. M. S. Goldcrest. It closed in 1948. There is a footpath crossing the runway, or you can walk on the coast path. Congratulations to Crazy wench & Bobby. F.T.F.
